Elevens (Frown Lines)

PURPOSE: Target and relax the corrugator supercilii muscles at the start of the eyebrows to eliminate the vertical “11” frown lines while preserving natural facial expression and movement.
DESCRIPTION: The corrugator muscles are responsible for pulling the eyebrows together during frowning or concentration. When these muscles are overactive, they create deep vertical lines between the brows. Botox creates that inexpressive look because it physically cannot target just the corrugator muscle without also affecting the frontalis muscle (which raises the eyebrows) – the muscle fibers intermingle and meet at the skin.
