About Meir Schneider
Meir Schneider was born blind to deaf parents because of congenital cataracts. After five unsuccessful surgeries on the lenses of his eyes, which left him with massive scar tissue, glaucoma, cataracts, cross-sightedness and nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movement), his doctors pronounced his condition hopeless and he was certified permanently legally blind. He performed his reading and schoolwork in Braille. Inside, he never relinquished his dream of gaining sight.
Just months before his seventeenth birthday, Meir met a teenage boy who gave him hope that his dream of seeing could be realized. The boy taught him the Bates Method of eye exercises. Undeterred by the opposition and skepticism of family and physicians, Meir practiced these exercises with extreme diligence – up to 13 hours per day. Using the Bates Method as his foundation, he developed many more eye exercises of his own and created his own regimen of self-massage and movement.

Your vision and eye problems can be healed!
We are always being fed the idea that eye problems are genetic, nothing caused it, and nothing can fix it – that you can only use glasses or contact lenses.
In Meir Schneider’s healing journey, he discovered two things: First, that using glasses can be dangerous because then you don’t deal with the original problem and secondly, that there is an original problem that can be treated, which is visual and mental stress.
Most people are not getting this information because doctors are not educated about it and so they can’t share it. Even though this discovery is not new in years, it’s new to the world. Sometimes, the medical profession even tries to suppress it! But Meir’s mission in life is to share with the world that your eye issues can be naturally healed.
Don’t Need Glasses Anymore and Beginning Glaucoma Stabilized
Self-Healing changed my life. I had 5 diopters of hypermetropy and I used glasses even if I had to think; I also had 19 of eye pressure; beginning glaucoma. Using the method I began to feel more clearly the blockages and rigidities of my body, and the tension in my eyes. I was able to change this pattern with relaxation, movement education, correct breathing, and self-massage. Now, almost 7 years later, I’m a new person. The high eye pressure stabilized to 15, and I don’t need glasses anymore.

Lost 80% of Vision Now 20/20
In 1994 I lost 80% of vision due to inflammation of the optic nerve. It was a result of serious overwork and excessive amount of stress. I became disabled and did not find any support or healing guidance from the ophthalmologists I consulted. In my eighth year of struggling, a friend recommended that I explore the Meir Schneider Method of Self-Healing. Skeptical at first, I took Meir’s workshop and experienced immediate improvement which allowed me to leave the workshop classroom for the first time in eight years without tinted glasses. Since then, my life has been transformed in many ways. My vision is back to 20/20 without correction and my optic nerve has regained its full healthy coloration. I am back at work in high-tech industry, spending many hours each day on the computer. Meir Schneider was born blind to deaf parents in 1954 because of congenital cataracts. After five unsuccessful surgeries on the lenses of his eyes, which left him with massive scar tissue, glaucoma, cataracts, cross-sightedness and nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movement), his doctors pronounced his condition hopeless and he was certified permanently legally blind. He performed his reading and schoolwork in Braille. Inside, he never relinquished his dream of gaining sight.

Today, Meir currently holds an unrestricted California driver’s license, and his vision continues to improve! Originally seeing at 20/2000 (able to see from one foot what a normally sighted person sees from 100 feet), he now sees 20/70 (70% of normal vision)!
What causes vision and eye problems?

Many people think that the shape of your eyes is the cause of poor vision. But what Meir has learned is that visual stress IS what changes the shape of the eyes. When you work with the underlying visual stress, your eyes can return to their correct shape and heal!

It all starts with stress. Stress leads to illness, stressful thoughts lead to poor vision. How we look at life internally causes the external ability to see better or worse
For Example
NEEDING READERS
People who had perfect vision until their mid-40’s, all of a sudden don’t see well up close and need readers. And it is thought that the whole problem is that the lens becomes stiff, as a gift to your 42nd birthday. But take a look at what else often happens around that time – people reflect on their life and are not happy with where they are. Maybe they divorce, move to a new location, overall feeling very restless. They don’t want to be able to examine things too closely, because they don’t believe they will like what they see. So, physiologically, the lens becomes stiff and they just can’t see well close-up.
GETTING GLASSES IN GRADE SCHOOL
Somewhere around third grade, kids may decide that this is all there is to life. It’s the same life as in first and second grade, with no end in sight, and we see many kids beginning to need glasses at that time.
GLASSES AFTER COLLEGE
Young adults nearing graduation are not sure they will get a job after college, are not sure that anything is going to be good in the future – they start losing their ability to see well in the distance.
MACULAR DEGENERATION
Also, as we move through life, we tend to lose the curiosity and interest in fine details and may not be paying attention to these details any longer, that is, using your macula. And the most important part of your vision system is your macula (your central vision). Most people, slowly but surely stop using it. This first leads to poor vision and decades later, leads to central blindness otherwise known as macular degeneration. And that is why we want to address this issue before it progresses. We want to prevent it!
And so, the solution seems to be to fix your vision symptoms with glasses. But this isn’t fixing anything.
Glasses, contacts and Lasik can be harmful, while, working on the eyes can only be helpful!
If you work on your eyes, you don’t just get rid of your readers, you don’t just get rid of your glasses, you are changing the process from one of decay to one of aliveness.
How Meir's Technique Will Help you Heal
First, Meir’s work is all-encompassing – eye problems are not solely contained in the eyes, so his approach focuses on the body, on the visual system in relation to the body, the mind, and on the senses (because they are all connected).
You cannot affect the mind without working on the body and you cannot affect the body without working on the mind. The mind is in every cell and every cell affects every other cell. The body works as a whole. This approach does not exist anywhere.
When it comes to the eyes, what we do is physiotherapy for the eyes and then connecting the eyes to the rest of the body – this is very unique.
Some may talk about the psychology of vision, but ignore the body’s relationship to vision. Others only do eye exercises. Some ignore the psychology of vision. Meir works on all of them simultaneously.
And his unique experience of overcoming legal blindness makes this all real.

After being diabetic for 20 years, and being diagnosed as legally blind from its complications, I was left to either live as a blind person or seek another way. I use the knowledge I gained in Meir’s training every day of my life. I now have an unrestricted driver’s license.

Degenerative Disease of the Cornea Completely Healed

Overcoming Immune Disorders, Back Pain & Arthritis

This video teaches you to strengthen the Immune system to overcome auto-immune issues (auto-immune issues show us that something is not right with the nervous system, especially the autonomic nervous system). Here you will learn how to balance the nervous system and how to make the body function well, with specific exercises that can be easily repeated for a month, which improves the nervous system completely.
For Back Pain – You will find exercises specifically for sciatic pain and for preventing back pain. It takes patience, courage and clear knowledge of how to do this work, which you will gain in this video.

This video will guide you through your capacity to further prevent and overcome back pain and neurological issues (most people don’t realize you can exercise your brain and your nervous system and therefore prevent neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis). The video teaches you very important knowledge of maintaining and improving your circulation as a way of increasing further vitality in your life, improve well-being and prevent heart disease. It’s all fun to do! You will need 2 tennis balls, a yoga mat or blanket, and a pillow. Also recommended a broomstick and a old/cheap pair of plastic sunglasses and tape. You will be provided eye charts and a few papers for printing.

Jaw resistance gone
My nervous system is very sensitive. I played the Central Nervous System Audio and followed along. While doing it I remembered that some yrs. ago I had developed a habit of leaving my lower jaw/teeth relaxed away from the upper teeth. I had no idea that this was causing strain in my body. While doing the exercises I noticed that I had so much resistance to closing my jaw/teeth. It was not happening. Continuing to do the exercises, my jaw finally relaxed, the resistance gone and something opened up in my whole body. I continued with the exercises. Doing them I felt better in my body, definitely calm and my whole head felt relaxed. I highly recommend the Central Nervous System Audio. When I don’t have time to do the whole audio, I do some of the exercises, and I still notice the difference they make. The exercises are so gentle, great for any age.

Video session using Skype or Zoom - video is highly recommended so Meir can watch you doing the exercises and give you feedback. If you only have access to audio, he can work with this, but recommends finding a way to access video just for this session
Here’s how it will work:
- You will email Meir at the email address provided to book the session, please include a description of your vision issues
- For more serious issues like vision loss, Meir may want to email you further or even have a pre-session consult because he may recommend you buy some additional materials for long-term success (eg. a blinking-light tool). For convenience these items may be purchased directly from Meir or you can find your own source. For less serious issues like myopia, no other materials may be needed beyond what is included in this program
- Once you have any recommended tools or if you don't need any, then you book the exact date/time of your appointment

Nearsightedness Improved and Glaucoma Stabilized
Meir Schneider’s Self-Healing Method has had a profound effect on me. I am a violinmaker and do a lot of close-up work. Instead of accepting the “inevitable” bifocals, I have reduced my prescription for nearsightedness gradually over two years from 7 diopters to 4.5. AION Diagnosis to Driving, Reading, Skiing Expert Runs
I was diagnosed with AION (Anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, lack of blood flow to the optic nerve which destroys nerve cells and creates blindness partial or complete) and the medical doctors had advised me to apply for a Seeing Eye dog before I met you and took 9 double-sessions. There are a few eye exercises I do every night which seemed to have improved my eyesight. I regained much of my peripheral vision and I have been driving these past four years around 10,000 miles a year. Try to not drive more than an hour at a time and minimize my night time driving in major rainstorms. Every night without fail I use battery strobe lights and an eye patch with a small hole in it to wake up my eye sensors. With reading glasses I can read just about anything and work on contracts for my profession. I can read most street signs without glasses… Every few days I go on a 20-30 min walk with an eye patch covering my stronger eye to build up the weaker eye. My goal this year is to ski down an intermediate slope with the patch covering my strong eye. The past few years I have gone back to snow skiing, doing the expert runs, not fast, but in control on very steep ski slopes. I have been riding my road bike up Mt. Diablo, and take it at 20 miles an hour coming down the mountain. Feel very safe. I also bowled a 180 a few games ago… an amazing recovery.

Improved Eyesight, Posture, and Relieved Pain
I’ve learned how to improve my posture, improve my eyesight, relax tight muscles, increase my circulation, relieve my neck and back pain (or any other pain, for that matter!) Could Read the Paper without My Glasses!
Taking the Level One class was the best thing I have done for myself in a long, long time. I have congenital cataracts and have used reading glasses for about 15 years. After the class, I am still making constant improvement in my vision. I was able to read several pages with the pinholes; then I went outside and read a whole page of large print without my glasses! Prescription from -7 to -3.5 in 8 Months
As an engineer I value knowledge that can be applied and is useful. Meir gave me just that kind of knowledge during his six day course on naturally improving the eyesight. Imbalance and Pain from Severe Broken Leg Relieved
Seven years ago I severely broke my right leg resulting in the left one being longer than the right. As a professional businesswoman, it was nearly impossible for me to wear lifts in every pair of shoes I own, and I love to walk barefoot when I’m off of work. This imbalance tilted my left hip to accommodate the difference in height, resulting in more and more lower back pain over the years. In addition, working in front of a computer most of the day adds tension and stiffness to my back, shoulders, and neck. Through Meir’s Level One course, Meir taught me to alleviate this pain and tension with gentle stretches, hip abductor and back exercises, and self-massage using a tennis ball. My daily self-help program takes less than 10 minutes to complete and the results have been amazing. My lower back moves with ease as I walk, and there is far less tension in my upper back and neck. In the evenings when I have time to relax, I feel far less pain in my hip and lower back. When I have time, I practice walking sideways and backwards since strengthening these muscles take the strain off overused muscles in my back. About Meir Schneider
Meir Schneider was born blind to deaf parents because of congenital cataracts. After five unsuccessful surgeries on the lenses of his eyes, which left him with massive scar tissue, glaucoma, cataracts, cross-sightedness and nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movement), his doctors pronounced his condition hopeless and he was certified permanently legally blind. He performed his reading and schoolwork in Braille. Inside, he never relinquished his dream of gaining sight.
Just months before his seventeenth birthday, Meir met a teenage boy who gave him hope that his dream of seeing could be realized. The boy taught him the Bates Method of eye exercises. Undeterred by the opposition and skepticism of family and physicians, Meir practiced these exercises with extreme diligence – up to 13 hours per day.
